Wednesday Cravings: My tried and true faves + a giveaway

This week I’m rounding up my list of cravings with a random assortment of stuff I have, use and love. Enjoy! xx

Sure Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant, $2.99 at suredeodorant.com. With the weather warming up, it’s time to arm yourself (pun intended) with an effective antiperspirant/deodorant. I’ve been using Sure and not only do I like the price, but it’s long lasting and keeps me covered from day to night. Try their Invisible Solids that absorb in a flash and won’t leave behind residue even on dark clothing.

The Republic of Tea Get Clean No. 7 Herb Tea for Detoxing, $10.50 at republicoftea.com. For days when you haven’t worked out, feel out of balance or just need a mini cleanse, this detox blend helps get rid of toxins and actually tastes good.

Majestical Jewelry Tortoise Shell Hoop Earrings, $9 at majestical.com. A little retro mixed with a lot of fun, these are my new faves from Majestical. I love big jewelry, but don’t wear drop earrings so I’m loving the huge, more studded jewelry this season.

For the boys: Vaseline Men Spray Lotion, $5.99 at target.com. One of my all-time favorite lotions has come out with a version for men and I couldn’t be more excited. Fresh scented and fast absorbing, this super-hydrating spray tackles even the driest skin without feeling heavy or greasy. With a boyfriend who absolutely hates lotion, he can actually tolerate this one and I love the convenience so much, I even use it myself.

Fake Bake Flawless Self Tanning Set, $27.99 at fakebake.com. Fast drying, non-sticky and transfer resistant, this spray is my go-to for self tanning in a flash. The bronze spray absorbs easily into skin and the kit comes with gloves and a mitt for perfect application. Almost scent-free, you can use during the day or at night without the mess. Perfect for all skin tones, the long-lasting formula keeps its color for about a week and won’t turn you orange. Want to win a set for yourself? Like Fake Bake on Facebook and leave me a comment below letting me know you did. Winner will be announced on the Ruffled Row Facebook Page next Wednesday, March 19. I’m working to change the name of the Facebook page to match the new blog (The Daily Glamourista) so thank you for your patience and sorry it’s a little confusing! The page will not be changing, just the name so be sure to keep following to stay up to date with the latest and greatest! Good luck!

Leggings I love

It’s no secret that I live in leggings. For years, they’ve been the go-to staple in my closet and after pretty much trying on or owning every pair, I want to share my favorite leggings. Tried and tested, each and every one featured is hanging on my closet or rolled up in a glass jar (I used to work boutique retail, displays are my thing). Here are my picks for the best leggings of the moment:

Basic Black

Splendid Modal Lycra Slim Legging ($55): The perfect slim-fit cut and the softest soft modal you have ever felt. As luxe for a pair of black leggings.

best leggings

H&M Melange Leggings ($10): Jersey makes them comfy and elastic waistband hides well under tighter-fitting shirts.

best inexpensive leggings

Mimi Chica Faux Leather Leggings (Nordstrom, $28): Recognize these from my Halloween costume? High-fashion for a low price and breathable enough to wear all day (or night). I’ve definitely gotten my wear out of these.

Kais Kloset Boutique Black Cross Leggings ($35): Edgy and fun, pair with a black shirt and gold bling or a solid colored tee.

American Apparel Horizontal Striped Cotton Spandex Legging in Natural Black Stripe: $28: A little bit out there, but I don’t care. Tone down with a long shirt and boots.

New arm candy: lolly watches

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been habitually wearing my big gold designer watch for the past three or four years. Needing a change and a pop of color, I’m obsessed with lolly watches. They just rolled out their Eco-Resin™ line and let me tell you, it’s freaking cute. There are 8 colors to choose from and the watches are super fashion-forward, light weight and come in Petite (36mm) and Boyfriend (40mm) sizes.

Big on stacking, I have the red in Petite which goes with both silver and gold.

lolly watch

Not only are lolly watches aesthetically appealing, they are eco-friendly, hypoallergenic and completely biodegradable. Each watch has a mineral crystal lens, 5ATM water resistance which means you can shower with it and swim in shallow water. They’re also lightly scented so depending what color you choose, you also get a sweet-smelling flavor that’s fun but not overpowering.

So why choose Eco-Resin™? It’s lightweight and durable but much more luxe than plastic. Derived from softwood trees, they do not contain any harmful elements or plastic. Here’s how it works:

Absolutely in love with my red lolly (I’ve got my eye on the black boyfriend one too), you’ve got to get one. Durable enough for athletic activity and chic enough to go out in, this multipurpose arm candy is available for $85 at lollywatch.com. Plus, for a limited time only, all Ruffled Row readers get 20% off their purchase with code beauty20.

Back to school essentials for “big kids”

Even though my back to school days are over, for some reason I still love this time of the year. I don’t know if it’s because AZ temps finally drop below 100 degrees or all the swoon-worthy back to school I items I think I need. Maybe it’s a combination of both.

So because I can’t curb my back to school shopping, here are five back to school essentials for students and “big kids” too.

Threads by The Shine Project, a cause-driven business that changes the future of at risk youth debuted their brand new fall collection of bracelets today. Hand made by youth employed by Threads with earnings used to pay their way through school, many employees are first generation college students. Wear change about $7 to $30 at theshineproject.storenvy.com.
