Weekend hair bump up

I don’t know what it is, but I love a good bump. Armed with teasing combs at all times (these 3 row combs from Sally Beauty are the best), I’m all about the volume.

I found this mini-tutorial on Pinterest and love it. It’s classic, pretty and not over the top.

Happy weekend! xx

It’s FINALLY here! The blowout experts at Drybar just debuted a new line of styling products and tools. Dubbed with names like “The Moneymaker” for hairspray, “Southern Belle” for volumizing mousse and “Hot Toddy” for their heat protectant, I couldn’t be more obsessed. The styling tools come in bright yellow and gray and are of course marked with the signature Drybar logo.

Just for Girls Boutique headband giveaway!

It’s November 1 and I’m officially in Holiday shopping mode. There are so many great gifts out there so why not start early and search for the good stuff? Just for Girls Boutique on Etsy is a one-stop shop for all of the girly-girls on your list. From infant to adult, they have headband sizes and styles fit for all ages.

I received a sampling of the headbands and I really love them. They look upscale, pretty and are perfect for a small gift you can pop in the mail or stock someone up with a band for every outfit. To officially test them out, I gave a few to my friend who has two little girls. They were thrilled and my friend immediately asked where she could get more for them.

What I like about the headbands is that they are custom-made to fit any size. Most are adorned with a small gem that adds a punch of pretty to every band. Here are my favorites from the collection:

Flash Friday giveaway: BLOOM by Haley Anne headband!

How many mornings do you wake up in the morning, actually try to get ready and your hair just doesn’t want to cooperate? Welcome to the story of my life more days than not. Luckily, head wraps and headbands are still riding out their fashion lifespan so there’s hope for my hair even on it’s worst days. I discovered a headband boutique right in my own backyard called BLOOM by Haley Anne. She sells the cutest hair accessories and nothing in her store is more that $12.50. Bargain hunters and headband addicts alike, this is truly a gem.

Haley sent me her Pink and Orange Chevron head wrap and I wear it all the time. It’s great for work, lounging on the weekends and to pull my hair back when I’m washing my face. It’s boho chic and looks cute dressed up or down.

Weekend hair via Brunch at Saks

Brunch at Saks is up there as one of my all-time favorite blogs. The LA-based blog has the best of style, beauty, home, entertaining,  lifestyle and more. The editor Annemarie has a great eye and I’ve never seen a single thing on her blog that I wasn’t immediately head over heels for. Check her out and read more about the wavy bob that inspired today’s Weekend Hair.
